Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and insurance details while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide professional medication counseling to patients regarding usage and side effects
- Operate pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related inquiries
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy work environment
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred
- Certification through PTCB or ExCPT strongly preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must pass background check and drug screening
