Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Prepare prescription labels, organize medication, and ensure proper packaging and delivery.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, processing insurance claims, and resolving patient concerns.
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management and preparing intravenous medications.
- Perform routine quality control checks and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and patient profiles.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and company policies regarding pharmacy operations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Current, unencumbered Arizona State Board of Pharmacy Technician license.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new pharmacy software systems quickly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
