Responsibilities
- Provide specialized cardiac nursing care including post-op monitoring, medication administration, and patient education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Perform advanced cardiac assessments and interpret ECG rhythms with precision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance
- Mentor new nursing staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with calm, expert intervention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Illinois with BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute care cardiac nursing experience
- ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
- BSN degree strongly preferred; ADN candidates with relevant experience considered
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system and cardiac monitoring equipment
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
