Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for complex procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile environments
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/after procedures
- Operate surgical equipment including cameras, monitors, and sterilizers
- Coordinate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Graduation from accredited surgical technology program
- Expertise in sterile processing and OSHA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to cover varied surgical specialties (Ortho, Neuro, General)
