Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and care
- Process, label, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation systems
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA safety standards
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize sample collection efficiency
- Participate in quality control initiatives and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in venipuncture and specimen processing techniques
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
