Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to hospital protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and restock operating rooms as needed
- Transport patients to and from operating rooms with proper safety protocols
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless surgical workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in Level I trauma center
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and on-call rotations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
