Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures with proper instrument handling
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count and document surgical supplies before/after procedures
- Coordinate with sterile processing for instrument maintenance
- Provide patient positioning and support during operations
- Train junior staff on OR protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of specialty instrumentation (ortho, general, urology)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
