Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile drapes/instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and monitor surgical equipment functionality
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Prepare patients for surgery and transport them post-procedure
- Manage surgical inventory and restock supplies
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years of operating room experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate from accredited surgical technology program
