Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate patient disposition
- Document clinical observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide emergency medical instructions via telehealth and phone consultations
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska RN license (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
