Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone, telehealth, and in-person consultations using standardized triage protocols
- Make critical determinations about patient acuity and appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and emergency departments to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed clinical documentation
- Provide health education and guidance to patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous process optimization
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license with Texas endorsement)
- Minimum 3 years of emergency room or urgent care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proven expertise in clinical assessment and prioritization skills
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities under pressure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
