Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Provide expert clinical guidance via phone, telehealth, and in-person triage
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams for seamless patient transitions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Develop patient education plans for discharge and follow-up care
- Monitor patient flow and optimize department efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kansas (or compact state)
- 3+ years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
