Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine acuity levels
- Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patients based on medical urgency
- Document detailed patient encounters in Epic EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for care coordination
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong assessment skills with ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
