Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person to determine urgency and prioritize care
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop appropriate treatment protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) with detailed patient assessments
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during stressful situations
- Monitor departmental flow and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Participate in continuous education and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
Qualifications
- Active Arizona RN license with minimum 3 years ER/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficient in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience with pediatric/adult triage protocols
