Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient retraction
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of all dental instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for optimal efficiency
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and treatment documentation
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a general dental practice
- Current CPR/BLS certification and DANB radiography certification
- Proficiency with digital radiography (Sirona, Dexis) practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to calm anxious patients
- Valid Minnesota dental assistant license
