Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Provide accurate clinical guidance via phone and telehealth platforms to patients with acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and emergency departments to coordinate patient care pathways
- Document detailed electronic health records (EHR) with precision and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Develop and implement patient education materials for common health concerns
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky with minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required; PALS preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems and telehealth technology
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Experience with Epic or similar healthcare IT platforms
