Responsibilities
- Accurately code and submit claims for complex medical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Manage denial resolution with insurance carriers and patients through systematic follow-up protocols
- Conduct thorough audits of billing documentation to ensure HIPAA and CMS compliance
- Optimize charge entry processes to maximize reimbursement efficiency
- Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify documentation discrepancies
- Generate monthly reports on key performance indicators for revenue cycle management
- Train junior billing staff on coding best practices and system navigation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a multi-specialty practice
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
