Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure timely interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear patient education on care pathways and next steps
- Monitor patient flow and department resource utilization
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support crisis intervention protocols during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during high-stakes situations
