Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments including restorations, extractions, and orthodontics
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging technology
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting
- Order and inventory dental supplies and materials
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and dental safety protocols
- Excellent patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
