Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Provide expert telephone triage to patients and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to develop care plans
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and health resources
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
