Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments via phone and in-person to determine medical urgency
- Prioritize patients based on acuity levels using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records
- Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emergency or urgent care
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with electronic health records
