- Analyze emerging tech trends to identify market opportunities and competitive threats
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with 15+ engineers and researchers
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Partner with venture capital teams to scout acquisition targets
- Author thought leadership publications on technological singularity preparedness
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation management
- Proven expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in IEEE or Nature Technology journals preferred
- Experience managing distributed R&D teams across 3+ continents
- Deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies
