Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026+ strategic foresight framework through horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing business models
- Partner with product and engineering teams to integrate emerging technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech) into core offerings
- Present visionary roadmaps to executive stakeholders and board members with compelling data-driven narratives
- Establish an internal innovation incubator to nurture disruptive ideas and accelerate market-ready concepts
- Monitor global geopolitical, technological, and societal shifts to identify strategic inflection points
- Develop thought leadership content (whitepapers, keynotes) to position the company as a future authority
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting at Fortune 500 or high-growth tech
- Proven track record of translating futuristic insights into commercialized products or services
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, scenario planning, and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills with executive audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or implemented strategic innovations
