Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during procedures using 4-handed dentistry for maximum efficiency and patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and strictly adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and accuracy.
- Guide patients through their treatment plans, explaining procedures and post-operative care instructions clearly.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and assist with administrative front desk duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification or valid State Licensure as a Dental Assistant.
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is highly preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
