Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery and restorative treatments
- Perform chairside duties: instrument transfer, suctioning, and patient positioning
- Execute digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Deliver exceptional patient education and comfort measures
- Maintain electronic health records using Dentrix/Epic software
Qualifications
- 3+ years of dental assisting experience in a private practice setting
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB required
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging
- Expertise in sterilization protocols (OSHA/ADA standards)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Exceptional communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
