Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and package prescription medications for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with patients to answer questions regarding prescriptions, insurance, and medication therapies.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage pharmaceutical inventory, and process orders for drug supplies efficiently.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal laws, such as HIPAA and DEA regulations, ensuring strict confidentiality and safety standards.
- Quality Assurance: Verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness before dispensing.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate patient records, process insurance claims, and manage refill requests.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and minimal errors.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff.
