Responsibilities
- Accurately process and fill prescription orders in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders to ensure accuracy.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and managing expiration dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries and resolving prescription concerns.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist with clinical tasks, including medication preparation and labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; PharmD or associate degree preferred.
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration with the Indiana Board of Pharmacy.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under time pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
