Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, processing payments, and resolving billing issues.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Utilize pharmacy management software to input data and track patient records securely.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and timely dispensing.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current, unencumbered Florida Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with computer systems and pharmacy software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner, McKesson).
