Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary collections with precision and a focus on patient comfort.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance, OSHA safety standards, and laboratory protocols.
- Prepare, label, and log blood specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Interact professionally with patients of all demographics, ensuring a positive and reassuring experience.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care.
- Manage inventory and ensure the sterile condition of phlebotomy equipment.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to perform under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for on-call rotations.
