Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood collection procedures using advanced venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail and HIPAA compliance
- Operate automated analyzers and maintain quality control protocols
- Deliver exceptional patient care with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with laboratory teams for seamless specimen handling
- Implement infection control and safety standards per OSHA guidelines
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent credential
- 3+ years of clinical phlebotomy experience in high-volume settings
- Expertise in pediatric, geriatric, and difficult-venipuncture procedures
- Proficient with LIS systems and electronic documentation
- Valid BLS certification and current KY state license
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
