Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for complex surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Manage surgical equipment inventory and sterilization processes
- Transport patients and specimens with precision and care
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Expertise in general surgery, orthopedics, and specialty procedures
- Advanced knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- BLS/CPR certification with current status
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
