Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper documentation protocols
- Monitor inventory and restock supplies for emergency and scheduled cases
- Train and mentor junior surgical technology staff
- Adhere to OSHA and Joint Commission safety standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 3 years of scrub experience in general surgery
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
