Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize care in high-volume emergency settings
- Utilize evidence-based protocols to make critical clinical decisions under pressure
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR systems with precise medical terminology
- Collaborate seamlessly with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Provide compassionate patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and hospital policies
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Louisiana with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BSN or higher degree preferred (ADN with exceptional experience considered)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Advanced cardiac assessment and critical thinking skills
- Expertise in triage protocols and emergency medicine workflows
- Exceptional communication abilities in high-stress situations
- Experience with Epic EMR systems preferred
