Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patients using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians on critical patient care decisions
- Lead trauma response activations for life-threatening conditions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 99% documentation compliance
- Train and mentor junior triage staff on advanced assessment techniques
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient flow optimization
- Handle high-volume emergency cases during peak hours
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years ER/trauma triage experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- ESI certification preferred
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- Strong proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
