Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person triage using standardized protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and ER teams to prioritize critical cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear patient education and discharge instructions
- Oversee patient flow during high-volume periods
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Train triage staff on best practices and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license with 3+ years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Proven expertise in rapid patient assessment and decision-making
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
