Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and vital signs to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Priority Triage: Rapidly assess and prioritize incoming patients based on acuity and urgency to ensure critical cases are seen immediately.
- Physician Consultation: Collaborate effectively with physicians and specialists to recommend appropriate treatment plans and referrals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHR) for all patient interactions.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on preventative health measures and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Active RN License: Valid New York State Registered Nurse license required.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in a clinical or emergency setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
