Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate telephone triage for 200+ daily patient interactions
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate level of care and disposition
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with 99% accuracy
- Implement emergency response protocols for critical situations
- Train new staff on triage procedures and emergency protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska with minimum 3 years ED/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred; MSN or higher for leadership track
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Demonstrated critical decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation abilities
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric triage protocols
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
