Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for accurate billing
- Investigate and resolve claim denials and underpayments
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Generate and analyze aging reports for accounts receivable management
- Collaborate with clinical staff to document services accurately
- Utilize EHR systems (Epic/Cerner) for coding and billing
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certification (CPC, CCS-P, or CMBS) preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial billing
- Experience with EHR billing systems and claim scrubbers
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
