Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for critical care prioritization
- Implement evidence-based triage protocols for diverse patient populations
- Document electronic health records with 100% accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee patient flow during high-volume emergency situations
- Mentor junior staff and maintain quality improvement metrics
- Participate in disaster preparedness drills and community health initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/trauma nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
- BSN degree or higher (MSN preferred)
- Spanish bilingual proficiency (required)
- Advanced EHR documentation proficiency (EPIC preferred)
- Proven track record in high-acuity triage environments
- Ability to maintain composure during critical incidents
