Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop patient treatment plans
- Document clinical observations and interventions accurately in EMR systems
- Provide education to patients/families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and interpret diagnostic results to detect clinical changes
- Coordinate with ancillary departments to ensure seamless patient flow
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred; ADN with relevant experience considered
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
