Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and insurance information accurately.
- Provide post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education to patients and families.
- Order and manage dental supply inventory to ensure the office is fully stocked.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent certification.
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental office setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
