Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with special dietary requirements
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
- Transport clients to medical appointments and community activities
- Document care activities and maintain detailed client records
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance client wellbeing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional home health aide experience
- Current Texas HHA certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Austin
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
