Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to prevent loneliness and isolation.
- Manage medication reminders and report any health changes to nursing staff.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a safe living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, and errands using personal vehicle.
- Document daily care activities and submit timesheets accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus but we offer training for the right candidates.
- Valid New York State Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience in home health care, elder care, or personal assistance is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
