Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in condition to the nursing team.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, including light laundry and cleaning.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately record daily care logs and incident reports in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not always required for compassionate candidates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient, kind demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods and assist with transferring patients (up to 50lbs).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
