Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and report changes in patient mood, behavior, and physical condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Case Manager.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist patients with feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks essential to the patient's comfort and hygiene.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Administer prescribed medications under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or for errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Texas CNA or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- Valid Texas Driverβs License and reliable, insured personal vehicle.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a focus on empathy and patience.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification.
