Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Administer medication reminders and accurately document vital signs and daily logs in electronic health records.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community outings.
- Monitor the client's physical and emotional condition, reporting any significant changes to the supervising nurse.
- Perform range-of-motion exercises and assist with mobility transfers using proper body mechanics.
Qualifications
- Current California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and assist patients as required by the job description.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
