Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist physicians with procedures
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests per protocol
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verification, and process billing codes
- Inventory medical supplies and maintain clean exam rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification or CMA/RMA credential
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
