Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Hydration & Nutrition: Monitor food and fluid intake and assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move around the home safely, including transferring to and from bed or wheelchairs.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in client health, temperature, pulse, and respiration to the nursing staff.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation and social activities to reduce loneliness and improve mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and care plans as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; valid Home Health Aide certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving or home health is a plus but not mandatory.
- Licensure: Valid Oklahoma Driverβs License and reliable transportation.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and ability to use electronic health record systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; ability to assist with lifting patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Personal Attributes: Patience, empathy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
