Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
- Monitor and report changes in a client's physical or mental condition to the nursing team.
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as assigned.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social activities, and errands using a personal vehicle.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to ensure clients remain engaged and happy.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts State Certification as a Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and daily tasks.
