Responsibilities
- Assess & Plan: Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized care plans that align with medical standards and physician orders.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately while strictly adhering to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress to detect changes and escalate critical issues immediately.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and necessary lifestyle adjustments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) reflecting all patient care activities and outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and assist in resuscitation efforts when required.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred; strong new graduate candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and clinical judgment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
