Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes or medical concerns to the nursing supervisor immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and social activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to client care, such as laundry and light cleaning.
- Document daily care activities and report incidents accurately in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
